Overview

The Franklin County Municipal Court has partnered with the Columbus Convention Center to provide adequate space to adhere to government guidelines put in place to help stop the spread of the COVID 19 virus. Courtrooms 1A, 1B, and 11B will be heard at the Columbus Convention Center until July 2, 2021.

Additional details:

  • There will be no traffic add-ons during this time
  • Additional agencies/services will be available at the Convention Center
  • Notices are currently being mailed to inform individuals of the change of location

Instructions for appearing

  • You must wear a face covering that will protect against the spread of the COVID-19 virus to be admitted to the Columbus Convention Center. This is to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff.
  • Individuals who have a temperature of 100.4F or self-reporting symptoms of COVID-19 will not be admitted to the Columbus Convention Center. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 please DO NOT appear for your hearing. Instead, please call one of the following numbers to request that your hearing be re-scheduled.

What courtrooms are moving?

The following courtrooms will be heard until July 2, 2021 at the Columbus Convention Center:

  • Traffic arraignment courtroom 1A
  • Traffic arraignment courtroom 1B
  • Eviction hearing courtroom 11B

How long will the courtrooms be moved?

The courtrooms listed above will be heard at the Columbus Convention Center until July 2, 2021. Cases will continue to be heard on the date and at the time scheduled on your ticket, court summons, or notice; only the location has changed to the Columbus Convention Center.
